Following her studies at at the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in Chemistry, Dr. Shah-Hosseini entered the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where she graduated cum laude with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and with numerous awards and honors.

She then completed a two-year general practice residency at Boston’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital where she gained expertise in the treatment of medically compromised patients, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in prosthodontics at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she earned a certificate in the specialty of prosthodontics.

Dr. Shah-Hosseini is currently a faculty member of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at Harvard. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Harvard Odontological Society.

*A prosthodontist is a dentist who specializes in the esthetic restoration and replacement of teeth. Prosthodontists receive two or three years of additional training after dental school, and restore optimum appearance and function to your smile.
